Australia-India Sport Innovation Summit 2024

AISIS

The Centre for Australia-India Relations is proud to host the inaugural Australia-India Sport Innovation Summit with Strategic Partners Trade Investment Queensland and Cricket Australia for its invited guests and partners.

As the 2032 Olympic & Paralympic City, international eyes are on Brisbane as an ongoing centre of excellence in Australia’s offering in sports science, technology and industry. With India vying to host the 2036 Olympics and Paralympics in Ahmedabad, innovation and learned experience from Australia is critical to a successful bid.

This exclusive event offers partners and invited guests the chance to harness the power of sport and innovation and leverage the Centre’s expertise in fostering bilateral relations with India and opening up market opportunities through sports diplomacy, trade, investment and business that will contribute to the national interests of Australia and India.

Held on 13 December 2024, immediately prior to the Third Test of the Australia-India Summer of Cricket (14-18 December 2024). The summit will explore “Building A Shared Legacy Through Sport” between Australia and India. It will address sports technology, innovation and early learnings from Brisbane 2032, and focus the industry capabilities that both Australia and India offer.

It’s a unique opportunity to enable Indian officials to engage with key Australian decision makers and convene sports businesses with commercial offerings relevant to India’s growing markets – as sporting rivals, trusted partners and friends we have a lot to share on and off pitch.
