Chief Executive Officer

Tim Thomas has over 20 years’ experience in senior executive roles, working across the Indo-Pacific region in strategic leadership, corporate development and management.

Most recently, Tim was a Senior Partner at KPMG Australia, where he led the financial services strategy practice and contributed to developing innovative partnerships and business model opportunities. In this role, he engaged closely with stakeholders in the Australia-India relationship, including government, private sector, and community organisations in both countries, to build connections and enhance business literacy.

Tim has a strong understanding of the Indian business environment having worked in the country for more than five years, including leading AXA in Bangalore in the role of Country Head and later as Chief Operating Officer in Mumbai, where he implemented successful strategic partnerships and improved service delivery models.

This is complemented by other leadership roles in the region, including as CEO and Country President of Gibraltar BSN Life Insurance Berhad in Malaysia, where he led global operational transformation and drove improved business performance.

Tim is the founder of HerVillage Foundation and has undertaken a number of leadership roles in Australian-Indian community organisations. He has a keen interest in classical Indian arts and culture.

Tim has a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor’s degrees in Law and Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
